Medical Receptionist – Northam, Part-time
In Balance Physiotherapy and Fitness is looking for a positive, reliable, and confident person with a warm friendly manner to join our team. You will be part of a busy innovative team who are on a mission to provide excellent, sustainable Allied Health Services to the Northam region.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has high level of attention to detail.
- Has excellent interpersonal skills.

- Has great problem-solving skills.
- Is flexible with working hours (including after school hours).
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries. Schedule appointments, manage patient check-ins, and verify patient information.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain patient records, update medical histories, and ensure data accuracy. Manage patient files and information in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Billing and Insurance: Process insurance and Medicare claims, verify coverage, and collect co-pays or fees.
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals. Manage the appointment calendar efficiently to avoid scheduling conflicts.
- General Office Support: Assist in maintaining a clean and organised reception area. Handle administrative tasks such as managing office supplies, handling mail, and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for patients.
